Nassington & Yarwell Joint Burial Committee
The Joint Burial Board (committee) comprises representatives appointed by Nassington Parish Council and Yarwell Parish Councils to manage the Nassington and Yarwell Cemetery, which sits between the two villages. The cemetery was established in 1882, following the closure of the churchyards in each of the villages to coffin burials.
Funeral arrangements are usually made through the services of Funeral Directors. We work closely with Funeral Directors to ensure that the funeral is carried out in accordance to the families wishes.
Graves can either be purchased through your Funeral Director at the time of need or purchased ahead of time by filling in the Application for Exclusive Right of Burial form and send it to burials@nassington.org.uk

The interment of cremated remains can be arranged through either a Funeral Director or privately through the Parish Council. For anyone wishing to arrange a private cremation interment, please fill in the Application for Interment form and send it to burials@nassington.org.uk

Memorials are allowed to be placed on grave and cremation spaces 6 months after interment. Grave memorials (headstones) can be arranged through Memorial Stone Masons as there are rules guiding the placement and construction of headstones.
We do allow other types of memorials on grave and cremation spaces, please see our Cemetery Guidelines (below) for more details.
